The Coordinator of the project is INRA, represented by Dr. V. Decroocq.
Her primary role is to represent the intermediary between the EC and the Consortium as well as to be the promoter and supervisor of the overall technical and scientific progress of SharCo.

The General Assembly

The General Assembly is the decision-making body of the project. Chaired by the project coordinator, it is composed of one representative per partner (including workpackage leaders), each having one vote for decision making.

The General Assembly will be responsible for the strategic and political orientation of the Project: overall direction of all activities -research, training and management- and re-orientation whenever necessary, budget revision, incorporation of new contractors, measures towards defaulting partners.

The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is the decision-implementing body of the project. It is made up of the leaders of each workpackage and chaired by the coordinator. The Executive Committee will be in charge of the operational management of all the activities of the project. It will also prepare the decisions to be taken by the General Assembly (concerning the description of work, budget and allocation of the contribution, etc.) and ensure that these decisions are properly implemented, integrate recommendations on Intellectual Property matters.

The Advisory Board

The main role of the Advisory Board is to provide the project with points of view and advices coming from other scientific communities and areas interested in the outcomes of the project as well as the way it is undertaken. It will in particular provide inputs on the progress accomplished in the project and advises on the most promising research directions to pursue.

The Advisory Board will comprise:

  • Representatives of other initiatives towards plant certification and control, for instance: national plant protection and quarantine services, certification schemes, EU policy makers (EPPO, EUPHRESCO, PRATIQUE)
  • Representatives of nurseries and fruit growers from the countries where the meeting take place will be invited. First choice will go to those who declared already interest in the SharCo proposal as described in the letters of interest (see annexes).

The Administrative Team

Daily administrative management work and handling of the project logistics is to be handled by the Administrative Team. The Administrative Team, provided by INRA, will be made up of an experienced project manager (the coordinator, Dr V. Decroocq) assisted by a project administrator (Claudia Antoniotti).

The Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG)

The Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG) is an ad hoc structure setup on a case-by-case basis in order to manage intellectual property of the Foreground produced by the Project. Composed of beneficiaries’ intellectual property experts, its members will be validated by the General Assembly upon proposal of the Executive Committee.
